Decadent French Toast

  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 T. corn syrup
  • 5 T. melted butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • cinnamon swirl bread
     
 
Cook brown sugar, corn syrup and melted butter to the boiling stage. Spread in bottom of 9x12 inchpan. Stack bread slices 2 slices high in a layer over top of mixture. Beat eggs, milk and vanilla. Pour over bread slices and refrigerate. This can be done the night before. Bake 40 minutes at 350°. Serves 5 to 6 people.
