Hot Spiced Cider

  • 1 qt. apple cider
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 8 whole allspice
  • 12 whole cloves
     
 
Combine all ingredients in 2 quart saucepan. Bring to boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Cool; refrigerate covered several hours. Just before serving, reheat slowly. Strain to remove spices. Serve hot in mugs or punch cups. Makes 8 servings.
