Macaroni And Cheese With Bacon

  • 3/4 lb. box elbow macaroni, 1/2 sStick butter, 1/4 cup flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. black pepper, 2 1/2 cups whole milk, 8 oz. cheddar cheese (super sharp), 2 tsp dry mustard, 1/2 lb. bacon, grated parmesan cheese, and 1/8 tsp. paprika
     
 
Preheat oven at 375 degrees. In sauce pan, melt butter over low heat. Blend in flour, salt, pepper, and paprika. Gradually stir in milk. Cook stirring constantly until sauce thickens. Add cheese (in chunks). Stir until melted. Bring 2 - 3 quarts of water to a boil. Add macaroni and boil uncovered for 6 to 8 minutes. Place cooked pasta in 9 x 13 glass casserole dish, stir in hot cheese sauce. Sprinkle parmesan on top. Bake for 30 minutes. Cook bacon until half way done. Lay on top of macaroni after it has cooked for 20 minutes.
