Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt and set aside. Cream shortening, peanut butter, and sugars. Add well beaten egg. Combine flour mixture to creamed mixture. Chill. Form into balls 1 inch in diameter and place on a lightly greased and floured cookie sheet. Crisscross cookies with a fork. Bake 375° for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
