Walnut Carmel Triangles
|
- 2 Cups Flour, Unsifted
- 1/2 Cup Confectioners Sugar
- 1 Cup Cold Butter or Margarine
- 1 Can (14 oz) Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1/2 Cup Whipping Cream, Unwhipped
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 1/2 Cup Walnuts, Chopped
- Chocolate Drizzle

| Preheat oven to 350°. In medium bowl, combine flour and sugar, cut in butter until crumbly. Press firmly on bottom of 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges. Meanwhile, in a heavy saucepan, combine condensed milk, cream and vanilla. Over medium-high heat cook and stir until mixture come to a boil. Reduce heat to medium, cook and stir until mixture thickens, 8 to 10 minutes. Stir in walnuts. Spread evenly over crust. Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. Garnish with chocolate drizzle. Chill. Cut into triangles. Store at room temperature.Chocolate Drizzle: Melt 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips with 1 teaspoon shortening. |
