Saucy Chicken And Asparagus

  • 1 1/2 lb. asparagus spears, halved
  • 4 bonless skinledd chicken breast halves
  • 2 T. oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp, pepper
  • 1 can cr. of chicken soup
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. curry powder
  • 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
     
 
If desired, partially cook asparagus; drain. Put asparagus in greased 9" sq. baking pan.In skillet over medium heat, brown chicken in oil. Season with salt and pepper. Arrange chicken over asparagus. In a bowl, mix soup, mayo, lemon juice and curry powder, pour over chicken. Cover and bake 375° for 40 minutes or until tender. Sprinkle with cheese. Let stand for 5 minutes. Serves 4
