Beefed Up Biscuit Casserole

- 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. diced green pepper
- 1 c. tomato sauce
- 2 tsp. chili pepper
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 2-8 oz. cans biscuit
- 1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2-1 c. sour cream
- 1 egg

| Cook hamburger and drain. Add onions and green pepper. Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder and garlic salt. Simmer while preparing dough. Separate biscuits and place in bottom of 9-inch square pan. Combine 1/2 cup cheese, sour cream and egg in a bowl. Mix well. Stir mix into meat sauce and pour over biscuits. Then add more biscuits on top and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes. |
