Buttered Herb Bread

  • 1 lg. round sourdough bread
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. marjoram
  • 1/2 lb. softened butter
     
 
Cut bread in diamond shapes, being careful not to cut all the way through. Combine all ingredients and spread mixture into cuts in bread. Wrap in aluminum foil. Bake at 350° for 30-40 minutes, or until heated through.
