Corn Stuffing

  • 1 1/2 T instant minced onion
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 c soft stale bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp powdered thyme
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 T water
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
     
 
Stir onion into water. Cut bacon in 1/2 inch slices, and cook until crisp. Pour bacon and fat over bread crumbs, tossing to mix. Sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper. Add onion and corn; mix lightly. Makes 1 quart stuffing.
