Beat up the yolk of one hen's egg, newly laid, in half a pint of water at a temperature of 98 degrees and sweeten with a little sugar. A portion of milk may be substituted for the water in the case of the more advanced infant. This is a favorite food with some, but the yolk of an egg, lightly boiled, is more digestible.
